Hi @tiggriff
You will need to download the template from Square. If you go to your item library on the dashboard, click on 'Actions' in the top right. There will be a drop down and you can click 'Import Items'. A pop-up will appear asking for your Excel spreadsheet; however, do not upload it. The pop up will also have the template file you can download. Download this and open in Excel. You will need to transfer the data from your current spreadsheet to the new template so that Square can identify the correct information. Once you have that completed, you can then upload the edited template.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you need any additional information. Here is a link to the official article outlining the process: https://squareup.com/help/us/en/article/5153-import-items-online

I found it easier to clean up my Excel sheet first—especially column headers and formats—before uploading. I used a template from www.myexcelonline.com to match the structure, and it saved me a ton of back-and-forth. Make sure your item names and categories are consistent, or Square might reject parts of the list during the import.
