Wrong email address associate with card

Somehow the wrong email address got associated with my ApplePay card. I think it is just my email address with a typo, but since there's a typo, I can't access it to change it. I also can't correct it online because the credit card number is hidden in applepay. Any ideas how to correct it in the system?

Hi @lawyerinboots.  After re-reading your post a few times, I’m assuming that you are referring to the fact that you are paying a Square merchant via Apple Pay and somehow the email address to send receipts to was entered incorrectly.  If so, the only ways that I know to fix that are:

 

  1. the next time you pay a Square merchant with that card via Apple Pay, tell the cashier that you want to change the email address for the receipt.  They should be able to do that at the POS and it will change it for all Square sellers who run that payment card in the future.
  2. Call Square Customer Success here.  I assume that you have the physical card, too, and can use that to get them to change the email address on file, or at the very least delete the email address on file for that card.
