Why is building the Online Store on my Mac slow?

I started setting up a square online store the other day. Everything was going decently for the first hour, then I started uploading pics and the Mac pinwheel of death appeared on my screen. The files are between 2 and 6 mb each. I had only uploaded maybe 10 pics when my browser (Safari) started bogging down. I closed all other open tabs and any other programs. The slow down persisted. 

So far, the only fix I found is to save the work I've completed and close out the browser window. Wait a bit and start back up.

It's very frustrating to try and build a website using a system that is so resource heavy. Any advice on what to do that doesn't include buying another laptop?

Sorry to hear that you've been experiencing delays and errors when building your Square Online Store on your Mac.

Please try using the browser Google Chrome. It's the browser our site is most compatible with, and should resolve this issue. Unfortunately, Safari is not the most compatible browser with our Dashboard and Online Store builder.
