They literally just changed this today..
Now when I make an invoice, you aren't able to move the line items.
I'm very picky when it comes to the construction of the invoice and like to have things in certain in a certain order. If I forgot to add something, I could just add it, drag it up to it's place and be done. Now you can't do that at all!!! WTF Square..
Hi @rococomac. Since I’m not Square, I can’t answer your “why” question. But, I just checked and it seems that you can still rearrange line items on the invoices app from your dashboard. However, I do not see that capability in the Invoices app which I assume you are talking about. Anyway, while you are waiting on an answer to your “why” question, you can at least have the work-around of rearranging invoice line items from your dashboard. If you start on the app and realize your mistake, you’ll have to go through the added step of saving the draft invoice and finishing it on the dashboard. But at least you can rearrange things so that they don’t keep you up at night. Ha.

It must not have updated yet for you. I started the day with the original invoice draft, and it just changed about two hours ago. I work with Square on my desktop computer and not my phone since we do much volume.
I've been using this program for 4 years with invoices.

When you go to create or edit your invoice, are the three horizontal lines to the left of each line item gone? I have attached a picture of what I see in my invoices.
Can you provide a screenshot of what you are seeing as well? This does not seem like typical behavior with Invoices and I have not seen anything about removing this feature.
The picture you attached is what it looked like this morning, it does not look like that any longer. The whole page looks different.

I have reached out to our Invoice product team, and they have provided me with some insight as to why this has now changed.
Reordering line items isn’t supported by orders, so the product team removed that functionality here so that the cart experience matches the orders experience when the orders migration starts rolling out.
However, our product team is actively working to figure out a way to bring back this functionality.
I know this is frustrating when things change, but the product team is aware of frustrations and working to make this an easy transition for everyone.

It just makes for more time to edit an invoice as opposed to making it easier.
this is so frustrating those of us that use invoices use it for a reason and that reason is because we need functionality that "orders" doesn't have.... another thing that is annoying is that if you are adding a "one time" product and make a mistake on that item you can no longer click on it and fix it- you have to erase the entire line and re-write it.
another issue- as I've explained to the migration team- is we do not want our invoices and orders co-mingled- it causes a ridiculous amount of work and confusion on our end.
