Why am I getting duplicate categories when I run a category report?

For some reason when I run a report by category, it lists some categories ( not all) both in lower and upper case. Why is this happening? When I go to the category list, its only listed in all caps.

@Did you at some point change the categories names from capital to lower case or vice versa? 

The reports would pull the sales from any time period you selected, so if they were that way at a certain point and you sold items in those categories with those capitalization, then they would show up in the reports.
