When your receipts have an incorrect time stamp, how do you fix that?

When the Square receipt has an incorrect time stamp how do you fix that.  In other words the receipt says it is issued at 10 AM but the correct time is 2:15 PM.  Thanks.

Hi there, @cwd 👋 Thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community! Glad to see you making your first post - hopefully the first of many. 

 

Square transactions use real time data pulled from your device to record timestamps on transactions. In other words, we require your mobile network data or WiFi to process transactions to ensure that timestamps are correct. As long as your payment was not taken in Offline Mode, you transaction should reflect the true time that your payment was completed. Because of this, there is no way to edit the timestamp associated on a transaction or receipt.

 

If you are seeing what looks to be an incorrect timestamp, we recommend reaching out to our Support Team for further clarification. Feel free to also reply here with specifics about your transaction (what device you used, method of payment such as invoice, etc.) and we can take a deeper dive.
