I have an Australian Square account. I am about to travel to the UK and want to use a Square reader there. I have a UK bank account with Wise.
I understand that I need to set up a new Square account if I want to accept money in a different currency, but I still have questions:
- Can I use my Australian Square card reader, or do I need to buy a UK reader?
- If I do need to buy a UK reader, how long would it take to get delivered to Australia?
- Do I have to wait till I am in the UK before I set up an account that can take UK funds or can I do it now, from Australia?
- As an Australian, who is only travelling to the UK for business (sole tracer), will I have acceptable identification documentation to establish a Square account that can operate in the UK?
