Weebly Online Store: How do I add larger image files in the banner section?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: weebly

Hi, I am working on the weebly approach to the on-line store.

The on-line store is very important to us as we don't use a square reader or other hardware.  Customers buy from us only via the on-line store, so it's function is critical to us.

One of the advantages I perceived is the support of much larger image files in the banner section compared to the original on-line store.

When I tried to upload an image though, it cropped off the top and bottom vs keeping the image that I really wanted.

It also made the image very dark compared to how it looks otherwise.  It went from fairly bright to darkish looking.

I am open to suggestions on how to deal with this.

Thank you.

Hi @WirlNet!

I reached out to someone on our Weebly side of things and they had a couple of suggestions:

  • The darker image could potentially be resolved by the “improve readability” option. Edit the section and then go to section style and toggle it on or off.
  • As far as how it fills the space- you can also adjust that in section style if you click the image in the slideout.
  • You can set the zoom as high as possible to minimize cropping and then click and drag the image to control which part of the image is cropped.

Also not sure if your picture is more Square than rectangular but it helps when it's more rectangular.

I hope this helps!
