Hi
I have my own Square account that I use as a sole trader. I am about to start using a local place that uses the Square appointments to take bookings..... can you please tell me how I can utilize this scheduling facility through the owners account ( she has added me as an 'employee') whilst still maintaining my own personal square account ???
I'm getting stuck trying to log in with diff credentials
apologies if this is dumb question I am a (middle aged) newbie
thank you so much in advance
Hi @KPJ11 !
This is not a dumb question at all! I am trying to understand what you are trying to do here so I can give you the best possible answer.
So you are going to be an employee at a business where people can book you to provide services. But, you are wanting to take payments for the services provided on your own personal Square account?
I'm sorry if I am not understanding correctly.
However, you wouldn't be able to migrate any information from the owner's account to your account in any way. You would have to log in to your employee account to see your bookings and then log out and back in to your own personal account to see payments. You would also have to enter customer information from the bookings in your personal account.
Overall, it would just get really messy really fast.
HI there @KPJ11, and welcome to the seller community
I think, if I understand correctly, you are trying to use the same email address to access multiple square accounts. I don't think this will work. Are you able to perhaps create some sort of email alias that you could use with your employer.
For instance, with gmail you can add a suffix which will identify the email as unique, but deliver to the same email. Additionally dots are ignored by gmail
For instance
you could also use
and these would all get delivered to the same mailbox.
Perhaps you employer could create you an email alias under their domain that forwards to your personal email.
Regards,
Bruce
HI @KPJ11, and welcome to the seller community.
If I understand you correctly, you are trying to access 2 different square accounts with the same email address and I don't think this is going to work.
Are you able to create some sort of email alias.
If you happen to be using gmail then you can add some dots '.' or a + suffix, this will create a 'unique' email address that gets delivered to the same mailbox
for instance for [email protected]
you could use:
And these would all get delivered to your mailbox but are 'unique'
Alternatively, perhaps your employer could create an alias under their domain that forwards to your email address
