I am using Square for invoices/ payments for one company. Now, I want to do the same for the second company, too. How can I do it? How can I separate two bank accounts or install the second Square on the same phone?

Depending on your set-up, there are two different options.
- If the second business is a company in its own right, then you would need to create a new Square account. If that’s the case, you wouldn’t install a second instance of the same POS app on your device, you’d simply want to sign out of one account and then sign in to the other when switching between the two.
- If the second company is another branch or location associated with the existing company, then you’ll have the option of creating a second location on the same Square account. You can manage multiple locations from Account & Settings > Business Information > Locations. After adding a second location, you’ll see the option to ‘Switch Location’ in your Square POS app:
From the navigation bar, tap ≡ More.
Tap Switch location.
Choose the location you want to log in to.
Keep in mind that the Switch Location feature is only available on the standard Square Point of Sale app. If you’re using the dedicated Square Invoices app, you’ll need to log out of the app completely. You’ll then be prompted to select a location when logging back in.
With that considered, if you set up two locations under the same Square account, you could generate your invoices for one location from the Invoices app , and generate them from the standard Point of Sale app. This way you wouldn’t need to log out or switch locations at all.
