Units with default of 1?

So I'm having trouble I think understanding units with square. So for example I'm selling cigarettes. By default it's by pack which is our unit, but we also sell them by cartons sometimes. So I made a crt unit set it up as 10 units, etc. Now when I scan the carton it says enter the enter quantity. Which if I add 1 it's fine but it there a way to have it just scan the carton and just say yup that is 1 carton?

Nope, Square thinks that when a person is buying more than the default size (a Pack in your situatition) they are buying a ALOT of Cases and want you to enter this number.   I have complained about this too.  I sell Tapper candles singularly, by the dozen or buy a case of 144 for weddings and large events.  When I scan a pack of a dozen or a case it asks me the same thing.  I even did a video and posted it somewhere on this forum showing when I scanned one tapper it was fine but when I scanned a Box of 12 it asks how many.

Found it.... Go like this thread and say why you need this.  The more people that like and give a reason why this is needed, might push it to becoming a feature.:
