Unique Discount Code Use

We noticed today that a customer has used multiple discounts codes generated when they sign up to a newsletter. It looks like the customers has multiple email accounts where they have generated signup discount codes (I know some people do this to take advantage of the offer). However I thought the unique code would have been linked to their email address. The customer was then then using the unique discount codes for separated orders on a different email address which was not signed up to email marketing. 

So looking at the customer profile and their activity there was no record of a 'Coupon Issued for Marketing Campaign' but they were redeeming multiple times unique codes successfully.

Is there any way to link the code generate to the email used to generate the code so the unique code can only be redeemed by the customer on that email address.

Thanks for highlighting this, I can see why it would be useful in terms of reporting at the very least, to be able to restrict the use of these unique discount codes to an individual customer profile. 

Looking at the available Coupon conditions in Marketing, I expect there will not be a way to further amend the limitations.

That being said, I'd like to reach out to our Marketing team to flag your concerns, and check if there is a workaround, or anything in the pipeline that might address this. 

I'll keep you posted here, as I learn more.
