Trouble Importing Inventory

Hello!

I'm purchasing an existing business that has used Square.  I purchased my system, set up my account, and have tried to upload the Inventory provided to me by the seller of the business (he sent it in a xlsx file (after following Squares directions on how to do so).  When I try to import I get the following message, "Import file contains a column header mapping to a modifier named ‘Add 4 Shots ’, which cannot be found.".  I've tried editing the modifier, deleting it completely, re-adding it, etc.  Same issue.  Any thoughts?

Great question @homerunespresso!

When transferring items between Square Accounts, you will need to recreate your modifier sets and taxes on the new account before you can import the exported Item Library. Even though the exported file from the original Item Library will include modifier and tax information, you will need to manually create the tax rates and modifiers for your new library.

If you have over 50 modifier sets, please contact Customer Success so we can help you copy your modifier sets to your new account!
