Terminal won’t charge

Hello
My terminal will not charge

And we had one charge last week that was doubled charged to the customer.

As mentioned, if a payment is cancelled, interrupted, or declined, your customer may see a pending charge on their card statement. It might look as if they were charged, but it will fall off their statement within a few business days.


If the payment does not show up in your Transactions in the Square app, but does appear on your customer’s statement, this is a sign that your customer is seeing a pending transaction and not an actual charge. You can check for voided payments from your online Square Dashboard.

your terminal won't charge as in not take power when you plug it into the USB-C plug, or won't charge a customer's credit card?

usually, the only times you see a double charge is when one is temporary after a failed attempt from a decline from no funds or a fraud warning from their credit card company and then you run it again. The temporary hold falls off in 3-7 days just like a hold at a gas station pump.
