I was a very happy user of Square payroll. My employees were using the 2 square stands and touching the time clock icon in the lower right to log in. I realized that I was logged in as owner on those units and the employees could see ALL payroll records as well as my financial information. I called customer support. Was urged to get Teams (done) Urged to set up manager login (done).
I did this 2 different times and went through permissions settings. I called and spent 5 hours with 4 different people. Got hung up on 2 times. (accidently put to survey.. "accidently"- But no call back) I asked to speak to supervisor - had to argue with customer support to speak with a supervisor. Had to repeat the problem description EVERY SINGLE time I spoke to a new person. Just a HORRIBLE experience. and the worst is the problem still exists-
Even as logged in as manager the employees can no longer log in on the square stand. When logged in as owner they touch the icon and see a key pad. When logged in as anything else it asks to just log in / out the ONE employee. They can log in on their phone but there is slippage regarding when they log in / log out and actually work.
I am glad I can type this because it has been exhausting explaining over and over again. Frankly I am considering leaving Square all together over this problem. Please help
@misterelephant I can probably help you with this and solve your issues. I use teams and have multiple employees. I just need to ask some questions if you don't mind answering?
1. Are you using a device code for your ipads/stands?
2. How many employees do you have?
3. Have you set up your team permissions?
4. Have you looked at the team login?
I am pretty sure you may be missing the first step in this or a permission is a bit crazy. there are a couple other settings that auto log off employees, but the problem you have can be fixed. I have no issues making this happen for my staff and I have 15 people logging in every day.

I have 13 employees.
I set up team permissions
I looked at team login
I set up a manager profile which is supposed to allow the functionality I described.
