Tap to pay on iPhone is charging my card in wallet about 10% of the time rather than customers card tapped on screen.
Is this a bug or something else, any solutions?
Keep your Phone and Wallet farther apart. Where is your phone in relationship to your wallet when this happens? Usually if I have my Stands on the counter and the Chip reader closer to the customer, their card gets charged and not the one I have in my wallet. I also have a wallet that is suppose to block the Tap feature after my one Credit Card was stolen by a Card reader that someone was walking around with.
No. It a physical wallet, I am talking about the wallet app on the iPhone using the tap to pay function
I am not sure how the Wallet App on an Iphone works as I use Android phones. With my phones I would have to open the App for it to take my stored information on its virtual wallet. Can you close your Virtual wallet on your Iphone so it is not running in the background? Basically your virtual wallet just knows the Square app on a phone is looking for payment and sends a Payment to the app. The Virtual wallet has no way of detecting what device or even if the same device is looking for a payment. I know I need to enable my virtual payments by logging in before it sends data to the reader.
