Talk back accessibility function

Please help! I've somehow activated the talk back accessibility function and now am unable to scroll down the page to get into settings to turn it off. When I click on the page, a green box appears in each option and talks reading me that particular option. I've restarted and looked online but cannot find any help there. Has anyone ran into this before? I can't scroll at all so unable to get into anything that is not in the screen window.

Thank you so much! The factory reset worked and I was delighted once I logged back in to see that all of my stock, sales, etc was still there!! Love my little square terminal! It's perfect for my needs. Thank you again for your help!   Wanita

Hi @BlackRaven, welcome to the Seller Community 👋 

 

Sorry to hear you're running into this. 

 

Can you try the following: 

 

  1. On your Terminal, from the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap ≡ More > Settings > Hardware.
  2. Under Accessibility, toggle off TalkBack

 

If you are still unable to scroll, lets try to fully factory reset your device, please have the following information on hand since you’ll need it to log back in afterwards:

Wi-Fi network name and password.

Account login information (email and password) or device code.

Location name, if applicable.

 

Then hold down the power button for 10 seconds until you see a black screen with a count-down timer. Keep holding down the power button on that timer goes to 0 and the screen says you can release the power button.
