Title: Payment link charge at 1:26 AM from a buyer with no contact history. Card testing?
Small business here, using Square payment links. Got a $41.90 charge overnight from someone I have never corresponded with and who has no order or inquiry history with us. It did not trigger any of my active Risk Manager rules and generated no alert.
Has anyone seen this pattern turn out to be a real customer, or is a small overnight charge on an open link almost always card testing? And which Risk Manager rules have worked best for you at catching it?
Planning to refund in full and flag it to Support. Open to hearing how others handle it.
