Hi there @ColonialBarber. That is the million dollar question. Like most software companies, Square does not usually reveal their release dates for anything. I can tell you that I’m an active beta test seller and there has been no announcement about a beta for this, yet. Given the complexities involved and the potential for issues, I’d pretty much bet the farm that there will be a beta before it is rolled out to the general public. In other words, probably not soon, since one other complexity to this is that Square is no doubt designing this to win the approval of the Visa, Mastercard, Discover and Amex networks so that they are satisfied.
For now, all any of us can do is wait, I’m afraid. In the meantime, if I may suggest, have you considered just folding in a 3-4% additional cost in your cost-of-goods calculations when you are pricing products? That’s what I’ve done for 10+ years and I’ve never had to worry about fees. In fact, I usually end up a little ahead every years depending on my cash/card mix (which is not 85% card, 15% cash). There’s nothing wrong with making a profit rather than just breaking even. Just a thought, that was not solicited.
