Sorry to hear you're unable to accept Gift Cards, could you give me a bit more detail about the issue, 

is there a particular error message you are receiving? 

 

Are you trying to accept physical gift cards or e-gift cards? I've linked the steps for accepting both so please take a look. 

 

If you don't have a linked bank account for accepting card payments, then yes you would need to set this up before being able to accept gift card sales too. 

 

To do so: 

 

Sign in to Account & Settings > Bank Accounts.

Enter the following information: the account holder’s name and IBAN. You can contact your bank to confirm this information.

Click Continue.

Verify the details, and click Submit to authorise the verification of your bank account.

 

Once you’ve entered your bank information, Square will verify that you have a transactional bank account. The entire verification process can take up to 4 working days (excluding weekends and holidays).
