Square terminal screen fizzles out

I've been having an increasingly reoccurring issue with my square terminal. The screen just sort of fades away while in use. Like someone beaming away in Star Trek. Sometimes in the middle of a transaction. Sometimes when it's turning on. Usually it goes to black. Sometimes white. Sometimes wide white and black stripes. 

It is very hard to restart at this point because you cant see the screen. I've done factory resets several times. Still happening. Any suggestions?

If you've tried a restart and a factory reset, it sounds like you need to reach out to Square Support for a warranty replacement. You can reach out directly to Customer Success at [Redacted].
