My artist group bought the Square stand, chip reader, and an iPad that works with Square. There is no WiFi at our location so we are using cell service but the stand works intermittently. I can stand beside the reader and use my cell phone (Square is on my account) and my phone works, but Square doesn't. I can take the iPad off the Square reader and it works fine but when I put it back on the stand, it does not work most of the time. What can I change in Square to make the stand work all the time?
To clarify, you are using your Cell wi-fi service to connect your Square Stand?
This may simply be an issue of needing more data and how your provider works the hotspot. You may want to consider an actual hotspot provider outside of your Cell Service for a more sustainable connection.
