Hi we use square register with restaurants. The till has done a update and now we can't use it, we are presented with a black screen with a square logo init. Could anyone advise what to do as we can't get through to support ?

Often, after an update, it can take the Register a few minutes to reboot so you might see a black screen with just the logo. However, you will be able to use Square normally after the update has applied and completed processing. To avoid the Register updating during business hours, we recommend leaving it powered on and plugged it overnight — the Register will automatically update then.
If you keep gettin the same screen and are unable to use the register, it's worth running through the troubleshooting steps below to try and perform a factory reset. Please make sure that you have not been taking any offline payments prior to performing the reset:
