Square Terminal - How to add client to a marketing list, cant find the settings

Hi, ive read thats is possible after a sale to add the contact details to a marketing list, we want to create a few groups, then ask this question to some who pay and have them agree.

Square says to "Settings > Customers > Sign up screen" we dont have this option on the small Square Terminal, is this something we need to activate or turn off to be able to do?
