Hi, help please!
Our square register keeps crashing. We did a full reset to factory setting (as advised by customer service) this morning which seems to have made it even worse. The register keeps crashing and getting stuck in an update loop. Either the card reader says 'update needed' or the main screen goes black with a loading bar that does not progress. Sometimes the screen comes back to normal only to go back to the black screen and update loading bar. At some point it appeared to have finished all updates but then the screen froze not long after and did not allow any further entries. I had to unplug everything to reboot, only for the device to go back into an update loop. Help!
Yikes, this doesn't sound too good. I would go back to customer services on this one to see if they have any more thoughts.

If you’ve tried all of the above steps and are still having trouble, you can reset your Square Register. Resetting your Register will require you to sign back in, be sure you have your account password close by. To reset from your Square Register:
Once the reset is complete, you’ll need to reconnect to your internet connection and sign back in.
