Our POS app freezes several times a day.
Our cafe is currently using online sales exclusively. We use the Odeko app interface and run a square store as well.
When it's frozen, tickets don't print and we aren't able to update our order queue. (thus customers aren't notified)
The only way around this is to close the app and reopen it. During busy service this is very frustrating.
Both of our iPad's are updated and square is updated as well.
Any ideas?

I'm not super familiar with Odeko, but have you contacted them yet? If you're using an integration with Square, it's highly possible that the issue may lit within the integration itself.
Another thought is your internet connection - do you have a strong, reliable connection?
