When setting Square as my payment in my Ecwid store, Square creates a store with an ID that is not associated with the Ecwid store I'm setting up.
When I try to complete the connection, I get an error message from Ecwid that states a store is already setup. When I look at my Square dashboard/apps, I see that another store has been setup. I now show 2 stores connected in the Square dashboard apps.
Even when I disconnect the store with the wrong ID #, I still can't connect.
Any thoughts?
Hello @westweeks
Thanks for your post.
With Square and any third party integration, all activation and set-up is handled by the API on their side. Whenever Square integrates with a third party website or platform, Square will only see the payment information being processed from the card that was used during the transaction. We do not have any visibility into the actual back-end mechanics of linking the website to our payment system.
I highly recommend contacting Ecwid. If they are still unable to figure out a solution, please ask for a ticket or case number to pass over to our Customer Success Team and contact them via email with the information collected.
Please let me know if you have any other questions by replying to this thread.
Hey @Rickf-
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
Hmmm. It's hard to tell if this is a Square issue, or an Ecwid issue.
It's possible to have an Ecwid store, and a Square Online Store, but they'd have to have separate domains of course. Are you running into this issue because of your domain? What error message are you receiving when you try to connect?
Let me know!
I'm new to Square. I connected Square to one of my Ecwid stores today to try it out. I am now trying to connect another different Ecwid store (I have 6 to connect). But it won't let me . It says I have to disconnect the first one and/or delete the Ecwid app. First off that's stupid and second off it doesn't work. So I can't connect more than 1 Ecwid store to my Square account? That's makes Square kind of useless.
The message I keep getting is:
