We are a charity and we use the point of sale card reader. We find that every time we try to connect the reader to the app we have to go through settings, tell the phone to forget the device and reintroduce it. It’s a bit of a faff! Can’t you make it possible for the reader to be remembered by the app?

Usually, you should be able to wake the reader up and reconnect it with the app by opening the Square app and pressing the button on the reader once. If the reader is taking longer to reconnect to the app between uses, it'll be worth running through the troubleshooting steps below. They usually help resolve the underlying connection issues:
Once you have ran through these steps, so how the reader work the next couple of times. If it still doesn't reconnect when you try to wake it up and you have to forget/reconnect every time, it might be best to file a warranty claim for your Square Reader in the Square Shop.
