Split check is printing new tickets to the kitchen

Is anyone else experiencing this? Everytime we split a check it will create a new ticket on our kds and reprint it as it was a new ticket. So unless we go tell the kitchen hey I’m splitting a check then they will remake the food. How do I fix this
