I'd like to do as per the subject line.
In most of the IT world, tables are easily sorted by column. Whether that's in a desktop window list of files or an Excel sheet. But not in Square...
All I want to do is have a list of VISIBLE items (ie what I should have in store) and sort by stock - low to high. That way, I can easily see what I'm low in stock on. Yes there are low stock alerts but not all products have them on yet. And some I don't want the alert on because they're only available for a limited time.
The workaround I have is Exporting to Excel, deleting the columns I don't need (eg description / categories, etc etc) the SORTING by visibility. DELETING any rows that say 'Hidden' and then SORTING by CURRENT QUANTITY.
The last export I just did had 1,680 rows. 1,203 of those were 'hidden'.
It's taking me ages and is a real frustration and NOT a step forward from the system I was using before Square.
Am I missing something?
LET ME SORT BY STOCK!!
Hi @JayAshton, thanks for your post and for the description.
Filtering the Item library by stock is not currently possible on the online dashboard, unfortunately, this would be considered a feature request at the moment, which you can submit to our product teams here. Please be sure to include some details about how you'd use this in your business day-to-day - it really helps highlight why a given feature request should be prioritised.
Currently, downloading the CSV file and sorting by the stock column is the only workaround that we have, which I understand is laborious and frustrating.
If there are any developments around this topic going forward, I'll be sure to let you know here.
Every common sense problem I appear to come across seems to be a "feature request".
I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with Square's limitations and do not feel that it's fit for purpose for large-product range use. I'm literally tearing my hair out.
