Hi there
I've been so grateful for the brilliant advice given to me before - especially by @tranguyen and @400º and hope I can pick your clever brains again!
I sell candles on my website and have a gift set where 3 small candles can be selected from an offering of about 10 different varieties. I currently list them all and ask customers to note at checkout which they want, but it's not ideal and people often don't, meaning I have to contact them, which slows it all down.
Is there a way of setting up the options to do this - I know I can choose one from a list in 'variations' and use this method for some other products, but I can't see how to allow the choosing of multiple options within one product. I hope this makes sense!
Many thanks in advance for any help
Suzi
You could use Modifiers. This allows you to list them all and set a mimimum and maximum number that can be selected. Hope this helps.
Hey @suzi_edg, I'm glad I was able to help last time! I'll do my best to help here too.
From what you describe, I think it'll be better for us to use Modifiers rather than Options to do this, since you select multiple modifiers at once.
The only limitation I can think of is that customers won't be able to select the same modifier twice (for example, they might want 2 x vanilla and 1 x orange blossoms, for example. They would only be able to select the vanilla option once). A work around would be to create three sets of modifiers, naming them option 1, option 2, option 3 and have a short explanation "Please select the 3 candles you want from the list below etc.", so customers are aware.
To setup modifiers:
This is what the customers will see on the website with the settings above.
If you would like to give customers the ability to select the same option twice, you can choose to duplicate the modifier set and change the maximum allowed to 1 for each set.
This is what customers will see on the website.
I hope this will help!
