We use self serve ordering with QR codes. Recently, hundreds of our past orders are showing up on the orders tab of the register. They are marked as New orders, yet shows that they have been paid. These are orders from as far back as 2022. There are no options displayed to close out or delete.
@d20tavern sounds like the ghost of orders past has come back with a vengeance. 👻
I have had this happen before, but it can be a strange one off situation, but I am a lumberjack and I don't care is the best path forward.
When old, paid self-serve orders suddenly flood the Orders tab, it's usually a sync issue (often triggered by a POS update or reconnect). The good news is you can clear them out in bulk:
🧹 Go to the Orders tab > Click “Actions(top right)” > Choose the little check box on the left and it will select all orders > “Mark as Complete”
If this ever happens on the KDS, there is an option under settings to clear all orders.
This doesn’t delete your records—it just removes them from the live Orders view at the register. You’ll still have access to them in your Order Manager and reports.
If that doesn’t work, try a full app refresh or logout/login cycle. But usually, that “Actions” button is the magic wand.
