Is it possible to use the square software and ... reader to simply tap to contribute? ... I fantasize about a small table that has 3 readers, each for a different denomination: $5, $10, $20 and people could just tap the one they want.
Is this or something close to it possible?
a Square team member replied:
...the Square Reader does not facilitate a self-serve 'tap to donate' feature, as it cannot be pre-set to charge specific amounts... It is a great idea, though, and I can definitely imagine that [such] a feature ... would help streamline ... donations for your business.
I'll make sure your feedback is fed back to our product teams for better visibility.
Three years later, this is now a standard product that can be purchased independently. But it means paying for an entirely separate credit card processor. Please advise whether Square has plans to implement this and if so, when. It is a very important part of service for non-profits like mine and the OP's.
