Hi all,
We are suing the online store and like it. Customers can schedule a future date and time for pickup. GREAT!
So, why can't I do the same thing in store for an in person, advanced order? I must be missing such an obvious setting.
Help?!
Hey there, @sjbakery -
Thank you for reaching out in the Community with your question on Scheduled Orders.
Your Point of Sale doesn't have the option to schedule orders in advanced like the Online Store does, but you can use Open Tickets. This would allow you to enter the items and save the ticket until the customer comes in to check out.
Check out this Support Article with more information on how to use Open Tickets.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks for the reply. This really needs to be a feature as it is a severe limitation for bakeries such as ours.
Folks in store pay at time of order, requiring us to print on the receipt the pickup date. Not a great solution, but better than nothing.
Folks ordering on the phone also need to pay in advance - so an open ticket is of little use.
I'm really confused as to why this is possible online, but not at the point of sale.
Any other ideas?
I would be happy to mark this as a Feature Request for our Product Team to get this on their radar.
Thank you so much for reaching out with the feedback on how you use Scheduled Orders and how you would like to use it in the future.
