Okay, so here's the issue I'm having. It's been awhile since I've used square readers, but the old headphone jack obviously isn't going to work in new s24. Do they still make the card readers that plug into my phones? If so which one? I was looking at the gen2 but it doesn't look to plug into the phone as much as a standalone unit maybe with connection thru a cord. Is there a simple option I'm missing?
Hi Snowshine,
If you still have the magstripe reader with the headset jack, I believe you will need this adapter. Also, you may find this previous post helpful, there's the liability shift to consider when only accepting swipe type transactions and some other options.
I learn someting new everday, did not know there was a Square approved Headphone to USB-C adapter to work with newer Android phones or Iphones that have a USB-C port. Thabjs for the info.
The big reader that does chip and tap transactions connects to your phone via Bluetooth so no cord is required
