My brand new reader won't connect to my phone.
It worked initially and I managed to process a payment, but ever since the device and my phone won't pair.
I've carried out resets, have checked updates, and even bought another reader as Square support that the original was broken.
My partner has the same phone and hers has connected to the 2nd reader that we bought.
Any useful tips and help would be hugely appreciated.
If I’m understanding this correct your mobile will won’t connect to either the 1st or 2nd reader. It’s seems to be tentatively pointing towards a setting issue with your phone or your phone in general having a bigger issue. Difficult to say for certain. You can now take tap contactless reading without a reader and directly with your phone. Give it a go and see if that works. Might be an option to use this and no reader unless for some reason you need to use the reader.
