Sales tax is bonkers!

Is there some default tax setting?

Do I have to trash cookies everytime I make a change?

Did changing template some how screw with this?

I cannot get rid of the sales tax!

In Taxes, it says "Tax Rules for Dining Options" even though initially I chose a retail industry.  But whatever, only way I can zero tax is to create a tax called NTX at 0% but then I have a tax line in the cart.

So I went to dashboard items and turned off tax for each item (again)

It SAYS 'No Tax' in the item library, but I go in one browser and I have a tax line with 0.  And in another browser the tax  line shows at about 6%

Aren't the dashboard settings supposed to be instant?  Is there another setting somewhere?  Not logical.

Click this link to go to the site that deals with Sales Taxes.  View the video near the top of the site, or scroll down to Disable Tax In-App and follow those directions.  You'll be able to turn of (instantly) any or all of your sales tax settings.

Been there, done that, thousands of times.

Maybe it works for the app, but I am seeing that the only way on the web online store is to delete cookies.   That is not good for testing.

And I know it is a cosmetic thing, but I would rather my customers not have to see a "Taxes   $0.00" line

Sorry it didn't work for you.  Maybe it works differently in Square for Restaurants, which isn't what I use.

I understand completely your desire to not have a Tax line, even if it's zero.
