Since the end of April we have had issues with sales receipts not being fed into QuickBooks. Some receipts will come over but not all. I will get a message such as ;waiting for more transactions to be received' before a payout can be accepted. I've tried to disconnecting and reconnecting the app and opening in incognito mode and the issue continues. This is causing a backlog on a lot of deposits/sales receipts from 4/28 to present considering we are a retail environment with 2 locations. What else could be causing the Square to QB integration to not work properly?
This has been an ongoing issue between the two for some time now, QB blames Square and Square blames QB. The transactions really started to go bad maybe about a year ago when QB did an update, and as of recently (5-6 months) it has been the worst that I've ever seen it. You can try to reach out to QB and have them escalate your issue.
The one thing that I have been doing when transactions don't pull in, is going in to the integration tab in QB, click the 3 dots near Square>Settings. Change the import date back to one where your last can and then choose sync now. Not an ideal solution, but for me it does seem to pull it 99% of missing transactions after a time or two.
