SQUARE TERMINAL IS BLACK SINCE THE OUTAGE YESTERDAY. ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET IT TO COME BACK ON. HAVE TRIED HOLDING DOWN THE POWER BUTTON FOR A LONG TIME, BUT STILL NOT COMING ON. ALSO UNPLUGGED FROM POWER, BUT DIDN'T WORK EITHER.
@THREADZ I don't believe what you're seeing is from the outage yesterday, only because my terminals have been behaving fine all day.
When you try to power it up, does it look like the screen comes on at all? With mine, there is a barely noticeable light gray glow to it before the Square logo comes on. If so, you should be able to hold the power button down for the 10 seconds or until it resets.
If you're not getting any response at all from the terminal, first thing I'd check is try plugging the power adapter into a different outlet. If the battery logo comes up then it's something with that outlet. If the battery logo doesn't come up, there may be something wrong with the hardware. If that's the case I recommend contacting customer support. You may be eligible for a warranty replacement.
