Reporting Update

Hi All,

 

I know you guys are working on new reporting features. It looks like they got launched today.

I am not sure if there's more updates coming or if it's all been pushed to live, but you should double check it on mobile because it looks unreadable. Especially the sales trends report which is the one that I use constantly throughout the day everyday. This morning it looked normal and now it looks like a whole new update has been done but it is completely unreadable.

 

I tried it in both vertical and horizontal on my phone.

It's the graph that is throwing everything off and the entire graph is squished into a very thin line along the right side.

Also, the percent up or down for today compared to last Wednesday and this week compared to last week is showing for the entire day or the entire week. Which means we can't see how we're doing so far this week or so far today. And we're always going to start every week and every day with a big decrease compared to the previous period. It used to show how we're doing so far compared to this time last week or this time last Wednesday for example.

 

 

Thanks everyone and I am looking forward to seeing all of the new reporting updates once we get the kinks worked out.

Could you please confirm whether you're viewing your reports on your Dashboard in a web browser or are you viewing this through one of our applications? If it is an app, could you please note which app version you're on?

The screen that was mostly unreadable with the graph squished it to a thin line all the way to the right was on my phone using the browser version of the app. My phone is an Android using Chrome as the browser.

 

For the sales percent and dollars up or down it shows the same behavior whether it's on my phone or on my computer. The browser on my phone and computer is Chrome.

If you haven't already, could you please try the following troubleshooting steps for your Chrome browser?

 

  • Make sure your browser is up to date.
  • Clear the cache on your browser. Access the Help menu of your browser to locate step-by-step instructions.

 

If none of these troubleshooting tips work, please reply with the following information:

  • The exact version of your web browser. To find this, visit whatwebbrowser.com.
  • Confirm the device you’re using (PC, Mac, iPad, Android device, etc.)
  • Include any applicable images or screenshots of errors you’re seeing. For instructions on how to take a screenshot, visit take-a-screenshot.org.

Once I have this information, I can take it to the Reporting Team so they can investigate further 🙂

Cleared cache and made sure browser up to date on both my Android phone and my MacBook.

 

Both my phone and MacBook have Chrome 112

 

Attached screenshot.  Notice it shows us down this week compared to last week by quite a lot, however we are actually up so far for this week compared to last week.  The total amount that it is comparing to for last week includes Thursday Friday and Saturday which are three of our busiest days which is why it shows such a high difference. But previously this report always showed how we were doing so far compared to the previous period so far. So it should only be comparing to last week as of Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Arizona time and not the whole week. 

 

Also notice how the page is really hard to read because the graph is all squished into the right.

Also I just noticed that gross sales for today on the sales trends report is showing a lower amount than gross sales for today on the sales summary report. When I add up all of the sales for the day the sales summary report is correct for sales so far today (we still have four and a half hours until end of day)

I am guessing that the Sales Trends report, even though it is set on "All Day" has a shortened version of what the day is.

Last night, the sales trend report stayed at the same revenue all night after about 6:00 p.m. even though sales continue to increase and showed the proper amount on the sales summary report. By the end of the night the sales summary report showed the correct gross revenue which was nearly double what the sales trend report was saying.

 

Now this morning, we've already had some sales and the sales summary report shows the correct gross revenue but the sales trend report shows zero so far for today.

 

And of course is comparing to the entire day of last Thursday so it looks like we have a tremendous deficit for the day.

 

I am super anxious for this to get fixed or to go back to the way things were. The sales trends report is the report that I use a hundred times throughout every day 365 days a year.  

 

Plus the graph is now all messed up and squished into the right side.

I guess I don't really understand how this new report works at all and it really doesn't work for us at all I wish we could go back to the old one.

 

Now it shows that we did $60 today which was a few hours ago. And we've done more since then but it's not updating to the current sale amounts for the day.

 

And it still shows us way under last Thursday because we just barely started our day.  So we really have no indication of how we're doing so far compared to last Thursday.

 

And I really miss the bar graphs.  

 

Is there any way we can just revert back to the old sales trends report? We use it constantly throughout the day and this new one is just not giving us any accurate data.

Ok, Thank you.  I have now done that, and waiting for the response.

I didn't really want to go through the entire summation again, so I simply sent them a link to this thread.

 

Now, on my computer, it shows zero sales for today and zero sales for last Thursday and no matter how much I refresh, clear cache, etc., it won't show anything else.  The sales summary is available to show what we have actually done today, but this new Sales Trends Report is so very buggy.  I wish I could revert back to the old one until you guys get the kinks worked out.
