Referral link for users abroad

I’m trying to refer a new user outside the UK but when using http://squareup.com/i/mattonline the user can’t set up the country to their own country why is this and is there a way to get past it?

Hi @MJD, thanks for flagging this! The referral link is tied to the activation country so in this case, UK sellers can only refer other UK businesses. At the moment, there isn't a way to get past this but I've shared your feedback with our team so they can review how referral links are generated and improvements that we can make to this.
