Recurring Billing

Hello Community ! 🙂

I was trying to set a recurring billing invoice today and unfortunately, I've learned the hard way that once you created a recurring invoice, it will stick there forever. Is there a way we can design an invoice and test it before launching it in production ?

If not, this would be a great improvement on this platform...

And how in the name of Jesus can I get rid of this test that I have created ???
After 3000 clics, still have no clue. I have tried to archive it - no success. I did end the recurring process. But in the recurring series, it still show up while unneeded (since its a test!).

Before jumping to the "Plus" Square option, i'd like to ensure that this platform is not "dumm" and provide all the flexibility a merchant really needs.

Hey @Andy-Art, welcome to Square's Seller Community! Congrats on your first post with us. 🥳

At the moment, there isn't a way to create an invoice to test it out before launching it. Once an invoice is created on your Dashboard, it cannot be deleted. Although invoices cant be deleted from your dashboard, you certainly should be able to move them into a separate archive to help you stay organized and hide older or less relevant invoices.

To archive an invoice via the online Square Dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Invoices in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Click on the three horizontal dots next to the desired invoice > Archive.
  3. Select Archive Invoice to confirm.
  4. In case you want to restore an invoice, select Unarchive from the dropdown menu.

To view all archived invoices, click on All Invoices at the top drop-down filter, and select Archive from the menu. Note: Archiving an invoice will not affect reporting metrics or reminders set for that invoice.

You mentioned that you were unable to archive the invoices that you had created. Are you seeing any error messages when trying to archive this invoice? If so, can you send over a screenshot? I may have to escalate this to our teams to make sure it's not a bug. Thanks! 😊
