Received a Paid Notification, but Invoice still show unpaid

I sent a customer a reminder that his invoice was due.  I received a push notification from the Square App saying the invoice was paid.  I never received an email confirmation of the payment and the app and online show the customer viewed the invoice, but the invoice still indicates it's unpaid.

 

Is there a way to see if the transaction was declined?  

 

Any help is appreciated.

I am happy to help to look into this. Can I get more details:

 

1) This is showing unpaid in both the app and Dashboard. 

2) Is the app up to date? 

3) Can you provide photos of the paid notification in the app? 

4) What invoice number is this? 

5) We do have a Transaction Status Report

6) Are you seeing the payment in your transactions?

The only update I received was a Push Notification from the App indicating that Inv 1290 had been paid.  When I clicked on the notification, it opened the App and the invoice shows it is still unpaid.  

 

I don't see anything in the Transaction Status Report either.

 

I wanted to look at all options before reaching out to my customer.

That's strange! 

 

Was the notification dismissed?

 

It's possible you received a notification about your customer completing a different action, such as viewing the invoice.
