UPDATE: SOLVED - NON ISSUE. Payment link is on the email sent to the customer but not on the summary notifying me that an invoice was sent.
What happened to the payment link on invoices sent through Square?
it used to be in the body of the email but now it only appears on the embedded PDF, creating an extra step or two for the customers (if they even open the PDF).
A custom field isn’t the answer, as this should be standard on the free version.
Hello @BlueHavanaII,
Thanks for writing in, and sorry to hear about the trouble! This definitely sounds odd! The "Pay Invoice" button is still displayed in the body of the emails your customers receive when you send an invoice. Have you recently made any changes to your invoice settings by any chance? You can check by going to your Invoice Settings clicking on your Template and selecting > Edit. Make sure that credit or debit card is enabled as a payment option here.
Please let me know how you go, I'll keep an eye out for your reply 🙂
Thanks for your quick reply. I've checked Invoice Settings and Credit Card is enabled. I'm certain that this is something recent. I only send 2-3 invoices a month and a customer has been asking me for the link only for the last couple of months. I'm using the default template with no changes. I've attached the Preview of the invoice. The customer does have a link to get the pdf and the link and QR code are on the pdf. I've also logged a case with support on this (Case #: 87517799).
Hi @BlueHavanaII - Violet here, following up for Arie. Thanks for writing back.
Glad to hear you were able to open a case with our support team. They can also escalate this issue to our engineers, if needed.
