Payment Links Sales tax not working

Hi. I have set up a payment link for an item, but it is not applying sales tax. I have looked this up and see where the solution is being said to go to payment links > general settings > enable sales tax, but I have no options at all for sales taxes in the settings. How can I fix this?

Edit / Update: I found a setting in Sales Taxes that needed to be enabled for online and QR code sales. Now the sales tax setting shows up in payment links settings. This seems counterintuitive considering the sales tax worked in regular POS beforehand. Too many settings in too many different places.

Hi, @adesroch ! Sorry for the delay here. But, I'm glad you were able to figure it out. 

@pawtrustpro can you try going to the item you are using a payment link for and make sure the correct box for which taxes you are applying is checked off? Payment links use item level taxes versus the tax setting for the POS.

I've never worked with payment links until today. Always invoices and Square Online orders.
Payment link wasn't showing sales tax in checkout, despite sales tax being enabled on the item. Found this thread, and made sure these settings were enabled for Delivery and QR Code sales (already had it enabled for Pickup orders). Went to the Payment Link settings, and the sales tax setting didn't show. Refreshed the page, and then it showed.

I'm looking to enable this also, the QR code sales setting. But, I only want it to collect sales tax from QR Code / Payment Link transactions at one location, not the rest

I have a Sales Tax set up for just the one location, and the other locations with none, so, if I enable this QR code sales setting to "Collecting using default sales tax rates", will that only apply to locations with valid Sales Tax definitions? 

Don't want to enable this first and find out the hard way
