You can use the POS system on any newer Apple or Android device, and you can use multiple devices using the same store login/password (or device code).
As for the laptop, you can use the Virtual Terminal from your dashboard. Because you can't link a reader to your computer (at least it's not supported... your comp may be able to bluetooth connect to the reader), you will pay the manually entered fee on the card. It's definitely not as smooth of a transaction process on the laptop but it can be done.
