I’m having an issue where the POS 4 digit log in screen keeps appearing randomly while we’re using the pos to enter items or ring people out.
I’ve hard reset and don’t need any updates. Our iPads are a little older so I’m wondering if it’s some kind of bug.
Hmm, seems strange @FishBee. Who's manning the Register - you or your employees? Are there employee permissions in place that restricts them from creating/managing items or performing certain actions at checkout? In this case, they will be prompted to enter the owner's code to allow this action.

It has happened to both my account and my servers accounts while doing normal activities. Its not linked to any one action, it seems as though the screen is timing out randomly. It's not the same as when it asks for authorization for a deletion or something, its logging us out of the pos.
Ah! @FishBee - This is a recent bug we're trying to squash.
A little context: Anyone using POS app version 5.27 with passcode timeout settings are seeing the passcode screen randomly pop up every thirty seconds or five minutes regardless of whether the app is use.
Engineering has identified the root issue and are actively working towards a fix. As a workaround, you can disable the passcode screen timeout settings. We'll keep you updated here when there's a fix ready!
