Order creation gone after latest update

Has anyone else noticed that the ability to schedule an order on the POS is gone after updating to the latest version of the Square app on ios?

Hello @334gigis !

 

I have a few ideas here, since my order scheduling is still active on my point of sale.

 

First, check that the setting didn't get switched off during the update. It's infrequent, but I have seen times where settings switch back for no real reason after an update.

More -> Settings -> Orders -> Order Creation -> Enable

 

If that is set correctly and you still don't have access, the new Modes feature may be causing a problem. When you tap More, look for the Mode section at the top. Tap on that and select a mode listed. Your system may have gone into a partial configuration.

 

Also, always try signing out and back in to your account. That'll force the app to phone home and get all the correct settings loaded.

 

If none of those help, please reply and we will see what else we can troubleshoot!

I've tried all the above.  We use about 9 different stations.  7 are ipads and 2 are registers.  So far the registers are still allowing order creation.  All the ipads that haven't updated the app to 6.69 are still allowing order creation.  Issue seems to be tied to the latest update.

I am having the same issue. I run a BBQ restaurant, and we frequently have people come in and order for pickup at a later date/time. Every since the last update my "schedule" button disappeared from our Square register. Now I basically have to just print tickets after purchase and hope my kitchen remembers to complete them on said date/time. I feel like I am losing my mind trying to find a way to get that feature back!
