One product is created as a duplicate in square

Hello everyone, I have one weird problem.
The problem is one product is duplicated in my square inventory and I don't know how to fix it or where it comes from.
Maybe someone ran into this problem or just have suggestions for this.
I would be grateful for any help in this case. Thanks.

Solution

What happens when you type in the search area for that item in the POS?  

   Does one item show up or does it give the same item multiple times to choose from?

 

What happens if you export your items as a csv file and then search the csv file for that item?

    Does one item show up or does it give the same item multiple times?

 

If the answer is the same item shows up, make sure they are exactly the same.

I have done this with the SKU purposely.  When I sell a pumpkin candle they all have the same SKU, but 6 different scents to choose from. (Pumpkin Spice; Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Soufflé, Pumpkin Pecan Waffle, Leaves, or customers choice of scent).

 

If your item is exactly the same in the csv file you could delete the rows that contain the extras of that item and replace on import your Square Inventory.   That should be a quick way to delete the additional items.  The other way would be to delete one by one in Square which can take awhile.

 

The knee o-tracker item, i am not sure if they are different by size color etc. that you could have entered it multiple times?

 

With a csv file you can open them with Excel or Google Sheets

Thanks for the answer, Candlestore.
I exported my csv and removed these items manually, let's see if they add later or not, because, I haven't added them before.
