Not all items adding to shopping cart

Hello, I’m very new to square and just starting up my own business.
I have a website which I have developed through HostPapa.

one of the pages I have created is to display my merchandise which I created in square. I have created so far, 1 category with 3 items within this category.

I have successfully managed to add my square published page to display in my website and so far it looks great and I can navigate it all as needed.

the issue I am having though is that if anyone tries to add an item to the shopping cart, it says it was successfully added but when you go to check the cart, it says “Your cart is empty”.

I’ve tested through the square portal directly and it adds items correctly to the cart the items I added.

I’ve ensured everything is updated to latest versions. I’ve also asked my web hosting company to add SSL (as this was a suggestion in a similar post).

I’ve tested different internet browsers on different devices (PC, Tablet and iPhone) but the same issue happens on all.

I embedded (I think that’s the terminology) the square portal page as a subdomain as that seemed to be the only way I could get it to display.

My website is Fitness4Life.net.au and it is under the “Merchandise” page.

is anyone able to help as I am at a complete loss with how to get this working?

I would sincerely appreciate any assistance 🙂

Hi @Fitness4Life ,

I think the crux of the matter is the use of a iframe within your page. Depending of browsers and the technology used within the embedded page i believe this may cause issues (there are restrictions as to what an embedded iframe can do for security purposes).

From a previous support thread (although quite old) this looks like it's unsupported:

As your site is quite simple have you considered building it on the Square-online platform? There would be a monthly charge to use the custom domain but then you would get much tighter integration with the rest of Square.

Hello,

Yes this does look like the same issue.

I have added a comment to the discussion you provided hoping that square will see that customers are requesting this.

Thank you for your response and sending through the link 🙂
